In October 2011, the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and Commodities Futures Trading Commission (“CFTC”) jointly adopted rules requiring some investment advisers to periodically report detailed information about private funds that they manage on new Form PF (Rule 204(b)-1 under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and Rule 4.27 under the Commodity Exchange Act).
