Medical device final regulations published *

On Wednesday, December 5, 2012, the Internal Revenue Service ("IRS") released an advanced copy of the final regulations, which were officially issued Friday, December 7, 2012 and which provide guidance on the 2.3% excise tax imposed on the sale of certain medical devices that will go into effect on January 1, 2013.
